Juteluhetki offers parents and children/youths an inspiringly guided, safe and focused environment to talk about both everyday issues and life's challenges in more depth.
Genuine conversation with children and young people is important in terms of growing as a person, learning about life and increasing goodness in the world.
Meeting situations in the middle of everyday life do not always arise naturally and it is not easy to suddenly start them if you are not used to them. Children and young people often also have many reasons why they keep stressful things to themselves, and think that they don't belong to adults, even if the child is at a dead end in a social situation or on an emotional level.
The presence of a counselor from outside the family often causes the child/youth to wake up positively outside the "circle" of his own family, as a result of which he is more receptive to receiving new ideas and thinking about his behavior. A chat is not exactly therapy, but the effect of a chat is healing, as it prevents the emergence of bigger problems.
In addition to meeting and being present, during the Chat time we highlight various basic principles and ideals of life, such as honesty, listening, loving, sharing and appreciating feelings, and general consideration and respect for others. During the meeting, these issues are discussed and brought up through various games and game methods.
The tone of the conversation may vary from family to family. For others, a more relaxed and free conversation and play is suitable, while others can benefit from a more educational situation, where parent and child learn the basics of life together and think about what things are important to them.
